• The co-operative Fanm Veret in Verrettes and the artisan communities in Labrousse and Vallee de Jacmel did not suffer loss of life, but almost everyone lost relatives in the capital Port-au-Prince. The grief over so many lives lost is unfathomable. Many survivors in the capital are struggling to stay alive and find food and water. Many households in our communities carry the burden of homeless relatives who have returned.

  • If you want to donate to the victims of Haiti, please consider organizations that offer medical help to the victims and have a proven record. There is still a lot of medical work to do.
